why do we fundraise?
The funds generated help to support our three pillars - accommodation, social support and education. Essentially, fundraising ensures the survival of non-profit organisations like us.
Fundraising is not just a means of raising money, but also a way to promote our message and awareness of the cause. This allows us to connect with like-minded people in the community who also want to help end homelessness.
what can you do to help?
Donate as you shop! Purchase the same product for the same price, and the retailer will donate. All you have to do is register to one of the following sites and choose Phoenix Supported Housing CIC.
Are you not in need of an item? Make an in-kind donation! These are non-monetary items that can either be used directly by our residents or in our fundraising events, like silent auctions.
Useable furniture such as beds, sofas, cabinets are always needed as we look to increase our accommodation capacity. Generally, new items or memorabilia can generate funds at our events.
Individual fundraising. Do something fun and enjoyable and ask people within your networks, such as friends, family or colleagues to donate to this cause. Here are some fundraising ideas from eventbrite.co.uk.
Use your company’s match gifting programme. If you fundraise or donate money to us, your company will possibly match the same amount. Check with your HR department, as corporations need to fulfil their social responsibility.
